I hate to be the purist, but not of these suggestions are actually techno. If you are looking for some trance, then I agree with nkgreen that Infected Mushroom makes some pretty good stuff.

My thoughts, exactly.

OP what kind of "techno" are you looking for? Something melodic? Adrenaline pumping? Uplifting? Something with a bit of instrumentals in it? There's just too many to say, which like xeemzor, I can list too many with what you call "techno."

where trance is more melodic, techno has that really annoying beat...

I'm huge fan of the old stuff like that. Right now I'm listening to Union Jack - Red Herring I really like a lot of old progressive trance. It makes me sick thinking of what trance has mostly turned into now, the poppy ATB and BT stuff. It's a lot harder to find new material, but maybe I'm just not looking hard enough.
