I'm sober now :)

Anyways, I was thinking either a '92 BMW 325i to impress the ladies ;), but I want to devote more time into photography and now I am seriously considering a '92-93 SUV like a 4runner. I want something durable that can get me into and out the desert easily. Something small too since i'm a little guy ;) I'm looking for a price of $10,000 or less.

4Runners are the most reliable of the SUV's, so that would be a good choice. You could always find an Audi Quattro, those are as good as any SUV, unless your going to be pulling a trailer or something.

Are you above driving a domestic? *gasp* a jeep for example? If you're interested in a truly capable off-road vehicle let me know and I can help you track a nice one down.

I'd look for like 94-95-96 jeep grand cherokees if you're wanting something bigger. If you're interested in convertibles look for some wranglers, midrange is the cherokee? Any sound cool? Hit www.jeepsunlimited.com and look in their forums for some FS

urbantechie,

why would you want to get something that's less safe in an accident, gets crappy gas mileage, and will probably cost more to insure than a 4-6 year old car?

Well atleast he is planning to use his for a little off roading my parents on the other hand just bought a 91 olds bravada with 80k and all the bs options for $3000 and the 4wd will only be needed for the 2 days a year it actually snows here. Anyway they have only had it for a month but sofar so good. I personally like the looks of the cherokees the best out of all the suvs, I think it looks more rugged and manly than the others.
