What are some good recommedations for center and rear speakers?

Slowly putting together a home theater setup..what are some good centres and rear speakers under 500$ CAD?

If at all possible, you want your center to match your fronts - so shop for the same brand, same class of speakers as your fronts...

Rears... i dont think you have to match them up as much...

You should really voice match your center and surrounds to your fronts if you want the best sound.

yes match thats what i was getting at, look at whatever yamaha offers for thoes, would be the place to start

that being said mine arnt all the same but work together well

B&W usually gets my vote unless you wanna spring for Martin Logan's or Vienna Acoustics. They're Relatively cheap for the quality you get and since Lucas uses them in his editing room i'm sure they can handle whatever you throw at them. My friend's whole system is B&W and another friend has 2 of their all weathers. Both systems sound amazing.

B&W's going to be out of his range unless he considers their entry level stuff, which he shouldn't bother with. Being in Canada, I would consider upgrading from your Yamaha speakers and taking advantage of speakers made in your country like Paradigm, Energy, Mirage.
