What are some good "quirky" movies?

By "quirky" I mean offbeat -- possibly comedic but with emphasis on eccentric characters and twisted plot...well, here's some examples of movies I'm referring to:

- Hudsucker Proxy
- Zero Effect
- Snatch / Lock,Stock & 2 Smoking Barrels
- Big Lebowski
- Fargo
(note the recurring Coen Bros. theme)
- Amelie
- City of Lost Children

Some action movies fall into this category too:

- Pulp Fiction
- Boondock Saints
- True Romance

I especially like movies with good camera/film technique manipulation, good use of music/sound, etc.
Suggestions?

I saw the scene with the cow from that movie and I spend a week riding the short bus before I recovered the gigantic amount of brain cells that it made me lose. I'll watch it if someone paid me a thousand dollars, but only if I could also kick them in the crotch afterwards.

Eccentric characters and twisted plot, I'd recommend American Beauty... It probably still holds the position of 'Favourite Film' for me...

How the hell are those movies quirky?

Anyway, if you're into the Coen Brothers, Miller's Crossing and Barton Fink are REQUIRED viewing. 🙂

Your sense of quirky is... quirky.

Anyways, have you seen Dogma yet?

Better Off Dead with Jon Cusack is a riot. Great 80's movie, and definetely quirky.

Best line:
"It's a real shame someone be throwing away a perfectly good white boy like that." 🙂😀

Look at the 2nd to last line of his request
maybe a couple of those arn't quiry enough, but If you don't see anything else on that list see Royal Tennenbaums, that is definetly a quirky movie.
