What are some good games to get these days?

My gf picked me up a Radeon 9800XT Pro 256mb card and I have no games to play. I only have Counter-Strike which does not even utilize the cards abilities to its fullest.

Any recommendations? I loved Diablo 2 and the expansion set. I loved Star Craft and Brood Wars. Counter-Strike is alright. I like FPS but I don't own any.

NFS Underground is wicked.
Call of Duty is amazing. my bro got it for x-mas. i havent been impressed like that since half-life.

however, stay away from a game called something like Secret weapons over Normandy. bro also got that, paid 50 bucks for it, and its a "flight sim" with no in-cockpit view, no attempt to make the physics realistic at all, and you cant remap the controls.

How the fvck can you make a game without letting people remap their fvcking buttons????!?!

That's why you download a game (or at least its demo...) before you buy it.

Savage is the game that's got me hooked lately. FPS crossed with RTS. free online play. good stuff. S2 Games for info. also a free demo there to check out. demo only has one race (out of 2 in retail) and 2 maps (out of like 10). gives ya a good feel for the game though before ya buy it.
