What are some good fans to add to my case?

I am thinking of adding a fan on the side of my case, and possibly a blowhole on the top as well. What are some good fans to use? I guess I could use the largest that would fit, so the side can be pretty big. Can I just run down to Radioshack and get some fans to plug right in? How do I mount them to the case?

Are there any how-to articles on modding cases with extra fans?

Thanks

If you don't want to cut a hole and keep your case open, you could buy thecardcooler at www.thecardcooler.com . These things keep your system very cool and it is relatively quiet. They are only 35.5dB a piece. I suppose you could cut a hole on the side of your case and still let the air out with this or you could just leave your case closed. But the latter would just move the hot air inside around and around.

Noise is an concern, as my FOP32-1 is at 38dba, and i dont want to go any louder than that. So i guess I am looking for the Max cfm under 38 db.

Mustang:

I recall something about sound pressure (dB) from college... here goes.... You said you were looking for fans that are <=38dB. If you get another fan that is 38dB and your CPU cooler is 38 dB, then the two "sound sources" add... and the result would be 41dB (migh be 44dB... can't remember if, in sound pressure, a doubling of sources results in 3 or 6 dB). Nonetheless, it will be louder getting another fan at 38dB. So, you probably wanna go with a lower dB fan so that your max is still close to 38dB.

Hope this helps.
