What are some 23 or 24 inch glossy (non matte) monitors that are good for gaming?

Any glossy IPSs? The Catleap seems nice but I hate take chance on something non-returnable.

I have a U2312HM Dell I just got but might return it. The anti-glare coating is not too bad but I would rather see if any glossy ones out there. I like everything else about it and got a good deal - $220 special direct from Dell. It has no dead pixel, so everything great.

I am coming from a NEC 20WMGX2 so the anti-glare jumped out at me but maybe after a few days it will not be noticeable as I adjust from the NEC. Any 23-24 inch on the market comparable to the NEC?

I ordered from TA-Planet on ebay with zero issues, check Goats link also over 4000 replies. You can't get close to this for the money, on top of that when i ordered each they were here to Michigan next day from Korea which is crazy.

They sound great - similar to Apple monitors but besides concerns about returns/warranty service, I also do not really want one over 23-24 or 1920 resolution.

I like the Dell U2312HM other than the anti-glare matte screen (and I will probably not notice it after a while and being away from my old NEC.) I mainly want to check if any comparable glossy screens, while I can still return the Dell (although a $37 re-stocking fee.) Also in case someone suggests it, I do not want to take off the anti-glare coat as some have done.

Thanks for replies and any other suggestions.

The Samsung s23a700d should be exactly what you're looking for. It's a glossy 120hz panel with extremely low input lag and awesome response.

Only the BenQ xl2420t beats it but it's not glossy.

I think it only works with AMD as far as 3D goes?

Ok, that's a valid reason, but a surprising one...

Using a glossy one for a few years I guess has me conditioned, so I noticed the grainy look quickly. Although it is the same as my much older ViewSonic VP IPS monitor that had an anti-glare coating too.

To answer the OP's question... they don't exist. The only good things about my Apple LED cinema display are that it's glossy and that it's an H-IPS. Still, it's a choice between input lag or tearing due to the 60 Hz limitation, it has poor contrast (poor black level), and it has super-low color gamut (probably not even the 68% NTSC typical for a WLED). I'd love to have at least 92% of the NTSC gamut (and at least 80k hrs life time at 360 nits brightness), 120Hz input, more contrast ratio (SCR, not DCR), not more than 30% of the lag I experience now (my mouse is about 2 ms, vsync adds up to 16.67 ms, and the monitor probably has an additional input lag of close to that without vsync), and better power circuitry. Maybe a little faster response time as well, but I can live with moderate ghosting.

Thanks for replies which lead to a question:

Why are there so few glossy screen monitors? Are anti-glare coatings cheaper? More people like anti-glare coating over glossy?

Mainly one reason - the reflectiveness makes glossy poorly suited for all environments. Many find them acceptable only in areas with controlled lighting to reduce reflections.

Personally that was my concern too before I got my glossy Sammy (SA27950d). But after a while it didnt bother me much, I even have a window behind me with the shades open sometimes.

A good glossy can be very striking and impressive. Would be hard to return to matte after my experience with it.

I see polls that matte is preferred by a majority but what is weird to me is that Ipads are glossy screens and they are extremely popular.
