For multiplayer: Ghost Recon or Return to Castle Wolfenstein

Single Player: I am currently completely hooked on Medal of Honor: Allied Assault. Definitely one of the better single player FPS games I've played in a while.

I think the Ghost Recon Single player is pretty good.

I agree, but I'm really hooked on the multiplayer. The SP can be a little annoying as you have to babysit your sqaddies to keep them from getting killed all the time. In multi, real people are your squad-mates, so actually try not to get shot like they're supposed to.

Other, somewhat older FPS's: UT, Half-Life (+mods & expansions).
