If you mean mysteries I would have to say one of the big ones is: gravity. No one knows if its a wave or a particle or just exactly what it is. If we knew we would know how to create anti-gravity :)

Black hawk you are totally right....and i am pleased to see that some people understand it clearly....I know some people that are not convinced that the light is made of the same "material" than FM radio wave and MicroWave....

Another black box in science is the theory that would put together all the forces of nature :
Electromagnetism, weak nuclear force, strong nuclear force and gravity.

For now, the first 3 are unified in a same theory (at the beginning of the universe, if we assume that a big bang create it, it is possible to explain with one theory all the phisical phenomenon cause by these 3 forces).

There is the supercord theory that attempt to unified the 4 but this theory implies a world of 15 to 20 dimensions.....

Anyway I hope it help

We're still looking for a GUT - grand unified theory. Also some conclusive evidence of what dark matter actually consists of would be nice (wimps?)
