They're simply internal cables, such as IDE (hard drive) or floppy cables, that have been rolled up so that they are more compact and take up less space. Obviously, the ends where the connectors are aren't rolled up, but the length of the cable is. The point of this is to have a cleaner, more organized case interior, as well as to help with air flow circulation and cooling. I just ordered some from ucdweb.com - you can find pictures there. :)

whoa, look pretty cool. Wouldn't the pins in the cable be prone to interference from the other pins in the cable this way? Can these cables do any harm to your pc?

Not as far as I'm aware... like I said, they're just regular cables that're rolled up. People use these all the time, and I've never heard of any damage resulting from their use... I can't imagine how it could hurt.

Wanna know how to round your cables? You'll need 5 minutes, and a roll of electrical tape.

Fold your cable in a VV pattern. That will flatten it into the width of a nickel (or smaller). Then take your electrical tape, and wrap the cable tightly in a nice spiral pattern. I used yellow electrical tape to make my cables stand out a bit more, but do what you wish.
