What are really good numbers for UT2K3 benchies?

I ran all the benchmarks I could last night with UT2K3 and I want to see if I am doing ok with my new card. I ran the benchmark that comes with the game in the system folder and the one from HardOCP.

Anything over a steady 60fps would give a great gamplay experience. I get only 46fps with an xp2400+ and radeon 9100 with all settings at max and it plays butter smooth for me.

2ghz XP
9800 Pro 128mb
This was with 1024x768 resolution.

Dude, that is hella good! What processor + GPU are you using to get 147fps in botmatch, Prescott 5Ghz and FX 6900 Ultra? Anandtech 3.2GHz P4 benchmarks.

Um, something isn't right then. 147 could have been my max fps but that is the final number that appeared for my score. I will run it again tonight.

lol ... it probably ran in windowed mode. That happened to me a couple of times.

make sure the benchie runs 'full screen' 😛

The request was for really good numbers for UT2K3 benchies...

Here are some more

2418fps = botmatch
4290fps = flyby

does that mean anyone can obtain those scores? Not really, but those sure would be really good scores which is what FluxCap requested. 😉

go over to the cpu forums here ... Download the Hard[OC] UT2K3 bench mark it pretty easy to compare all your scores and it gives hi/low and average in flybys

DOH! I was concerned my scores were lower than the Anandtech article, but they ran in 1024X768. Well, here are my scores. 9700Pro AIW on a 2.4C o/c 280FSB 5:4 2-3-3-7.
Default
Flyby 165.7
Botmatch 88.6
Rage3D 371/342
Flyby 187.0
Botmatch 89.6
I'll have to try 1024X768 later and see for comparison. So this is a good score?

Well, I reran mine last night and something was definitely wrong. My new numbers with 4xAA/8xAF and vsync on are:

Botmatch: 58fps
Flyby: 90fps

Is that any good? It seems a little low. Do the benchmarks disable AA and vsync though? If not, then maybe my numbers aren't too bad for a 2ghz proc?

At 16X AF and 4X AA (Performance) on 1024X768 I get
Flyby 157.2
Botmatch 86.6

I believe most benches you see are AA 2X or application preference (I assume also benches request no AA). However, you're not going to be playing UT2k3 with AA off, so might as well bench as you plan to run it and just recognize any lower performance as a tread-off for better quality. I only gained 3FBS running up to 4X AA for the botmatch.
