What are radial tires?

The strength members (steel or fiberglass cords) are wound as a radius on a mandrell.

Bias ply tires are the alternative. They are only used on trucks because you can put more layers on them.

Radials wear better, and handle better.

All tires currently for sale for street cars are radial tires. Unless you're driving a drag race car, don't even worry about it.

I've over-torqued a couple sets of tires on my sentra so I actually have been forced to buy 5-layered bias-plys for the front.

What, did you tighten them to 90ft/lbs or something? Or newton meters or whatever the hell specs for japanese cars are in.

I've got so much power going to the ground that the tire is spining off the rim when I launch
