What are ppls opinion on the Audigy's IEEE 1394 port???

I am wondering since I have not done any testing on my and would like to avoid putting other firewire card back in to test head to head...

I am hoping it does the job, as I would like to save the pci slot and sell the card towards the purchase of something newer...

Tell me what Software you ran with it or any incompatabilitie you have heard of...

I use mine to capture video from my Mini DV camcorder and it works fine.

I'm using several 1394 devices on the Audigy with no trouble. I haven't heard of any issues with its implementation. 🙂

There is a single issue with it. It has lower than normal power that it can feed the devices hooked to it. So if your devices is not self powered or externally powered, you may run into power issues if it requires close to the max that firewire can use.
