What are Omega Drivers?

I have an ATi Radeon9500 and I saw that aside from the official ATi drivers there are drivers from a website called Omega. What are the deal with these drivers? Would they give me better 3d performance?

alot of people say that they are better than the official ati drivers. omega, from what i hear, mixes and matches differant driver sets to make them better. he does it for nvidia, ati and 3dfx drivers. if i owned an ati card, i would use omegas drivers. i would imagine that they are more "compatible"
