what are normal temps for an E8400 under load?

I'm getting 54 and 58 for each core and 47 for the CPU with 95% usage, is this ok/normal?

Using the stock fan? That's similar to what my brother gets with his e8400.

Those are normal. I got 48 and 52 on the stock fan and stock speeds. At 3.6Ghz it jumped into the high 60's at sustained full load. With the Tuniq I never climb above 44 and 46 at 3.6Ghz.

You're probably already satisfied with the answers here. I assume by your response above that you haven't over-clocked the E8400.

My E8600 is OC'd 28% above stock speed. Under PRIME95, the temperature never exceeds 51C, even though I had to notch up the CPU VCORE voltage so that load V is about 0.04V above retail-box "maximum." But I'm not using the stock cooler, either.

It would be interesting to see what your temperatures peg at when stress-testing with LinPack or IntelBurnTest. Mine peaks at 71C.
