What are normal system / case temps?

Right now, my room temp is around 28C in a very stuffy (no air circulation) room. My idle system temp in a small form factor is a bit above 40C, approx 41-42 ish. I s this normal? I know its pretty high, but its pretty hot here.

what kind of proc, and when you say sys temp, you mean case or CPU temp?

yeah i think your temps are fine. my case temps are mid-40's and my cpu temp is usually 1-2 degrees higher than my case temp on idle or load. on load my cpu hits mid 50's.

If you think ~40C is high, I think you are crazy

Temps in the 40C range for any modern processor are fine, acceptable and are not going to cause any problems.

my proc is a 2.4C at 3.12 on stock voltage. i was talking about my case temp. my cpu temp is a bit higher than the case temp, liek tango57
