Better than Virtua Tennis on the Dreamcast?

Paper Mario: The thousand year door is a good rpg

Resident Evil 4 is awesome; you can gather eggs and sell them in level 1-3 (the only infinite money loop in the game) so it's like a primitive harvest moon mini game.

Zelda WW, Zelda Four Swords, SSBM, Metroid, RE4

Mario Sunshine was OK, but more or less forgettable. Tales of Symphonia was a decent RPG, but again, not going to leave you feeling nostalgic later on.

Mario Tennis and Super Monkey Ball are fun, although not everyone is into them. It depends what kind of games you like. If you are into racing games, they made burnout 2 for gamecube, although it's hard to find. Wave Race: Blue Storm is pretty good too. If you like fighting games, Soulcalibur II is excellent, and the gamecube version has Link, which is kick ass. There is also Super Smash Bros. Melee, which is oddly fun. For an RPG, Paper mario is interesting. Prince of Persia is a good action game. I haven't played Eternal Darkness, but it looks very good. If you like sports games, NBA Street V3 is fun, various Tonk Hawk games, NFL street and Tiger Woods. I haven't played Pikmin and Star Fox Adventures, but they are well regarded.

Eternal Darkness was one of the best games I've played in a long time. If that game came out on the other systems it would have been a huge hit.

Haven't played it, but I think I've played other Virtua Tennis games. It's a matter of tastes. If you want a realistic tennis game, Mario Power Tennis is not a good game. Mario Power Tennis has really fast-paced action, and it's amazingly fun to play with a group of people.

It sounds pretty much exactly the same, only with Mario et al, then :D

Yeah, probably. :) Mario Power Tennis also has "power shots." You get one after the third time the ball crosses the net on a point. You can an "offensive" power shot to hit a shot that will be difficult to return (or will put the other player out of position for the next return, i.e. Mario's is easy to return but sends the other player all the way to the back wall of the court), or you can use a defensive shot when a ball is out of your reach. They make for some intense, sometimes long rallies that go back and forth in terms of who is in the best position to win the point. Fun stuff.

Tales of Symphonia is the best RPG on Gamecube. I liked it a lot more than even Windwaker.

Metroid Prime

Metroid Prime 2

The remake of the original Metal Gear Solid was good too.
