What are good downloadable demos to show off a force feedback wheel?

Grand Prix Legends and Viper Racing have the best FF implementations to date, but I'm pretty sure their demos do not have FF enabled. Also, the .ini file in Grand Prix must be modified to enable FF but it is a one line edit.

Both games can be found for cheap. Viper is $10 at many places, including Amazon. Grand Prix Legends can be found for a whole $4 at many Office Depots, and is arguably the most accurate driving sim, and certainly the most awesome (Physics engine runs at 288Hz, individual car parts are modeled (most sims just model the whole car based on its C.O.G.) ever created.

Nascar Heat, Nascar 3, Nascar Legends, the NFS3/4/5 series, F1Racing Simulation, Monaco Grand Prix Racing (aka F1Racing Sim Pt.2), F1 Championship, Dirt Track Racing - Sprint Cars are others that have FF, but IMHO not as well done.

NFSs and Viper Racing work well.

I was not that impressed with Midtown Madness I and II.

Another vote for Grand Prix Legends.2 years old,and still the best racing SIM there is.I think the demo can be used with force feedback,but it needs the 1.2 d3d patch;this also allows you to use a geforce etc. and you can also download various add-on tracks,such as Solitude,Goodwood and Imola to name but a few.

xes: Nice to see someone else actually realizes the undisputed reign of GPL!

PS. - I hear Dave K. may be doing another open wheel sim based on an updated version of the GPL engine. Supposed to be his next project after Nascar 4 is done (which will be shipping very soon). Can't wait, GPL puts everything else to shame so badly that it's hard to enjoy other racing sims as much as before.

Bill, sorry this is getting off-topic.

Midnight Rambler;

I have heard the same thing,my guess is a Cart/Indy car sim =).Also W.S.C. looks very,very promising.The West Bros. have been slaving away at it for 4 years,nearly.It *should* be released sometime before christmass (but dont hold your breath). :)

xes. (Dik Dolan on vroc,gpl ranking -13.24)

edited for spelling,as usual =)

Welp, I've tried all your suggestions and I've come to one conclusion: NFS Porsche unleashed is the best so far. With the right tweaking, hanging "tail out" is an all day funfest! Whoohooo!
