No. Aren't touring bikes generally huge, with massive fairings, and all that luggage? Are they the same structurally as bikes like the Nighthawk?

You're looking for standards. Lots of choices, but I don't know if there's much in the way of 2004 models like that.

And UJM = Universal Japanese Motorcycle

This is what you are looking for. Beware crappy imitations produced by Honda and Kawasaki.

I don't think you're looking for a touring bike, or a standard. You want a power cruiser. Welcome to manhood my friend. Check out this site for all that you need to know about the greatest bike ever produced. (can anyone tell that I own one? :) )

The Nighthawk 750 is a good bike but its got issues.. Lots of it has to do with one of the crank bearings that blow.. not sure if honda fixed it yet.

Otherwise its a solid bike..

I prefer GS500, Ninja500, at most wheelie machine SV650(S).

Bajaj Elminator = Kawakaki Elminator 125.

Though the indian one is more cc's.

The Enfield Bullet is availbale in the US, but not teh Taurus model, I want to get that one if its availble.. just for the sake of getting one.

I want to get a Bullet 500 in military too but i dont have teh money anycase.

Indian bikes have come a long way.. it started with suzuki shogun, and its getting more exciting. You know you can get a Bajaj Chetak here in the US?

Though all those indian bikes wont make it to CA.. we are fscked.. unless i can get it past 7500miles.

You can get the Chetak here? Are you serious?? Dang..those things have decent pick-up, and more importantly..very quick throttle response!

Methinks you ought to look at the SV650. If I were thinking of buying what you describe, I would have that very high on my list to check out.
That SV650 is really nice, but isn't it more of a Cafe Racer / Sport Bike?
