I personaly like them and their products. Realize that when you buy visiontek, you are getting and paying for a video card, not pretty colored PCB's, a software bundle, rebadged drivers, or cool looking cooling devices. Buy their GF3 card and you will get a very well built reference designed card, a few tech demos, a box and a static bag.. that's it
I have it, I love it and I would buy from them again.
Ov/clocks extremely well
Play 32 bit with desireable framerates
Solid built card
I was skeptible about ordering it, because I was going to get the Hercules again, no regrets whatsoever now.
I thank you for the feedback as well. It is a big chunk of money to plop and I want to make sure I am getting something quality. I was thinking of getting a Creative GF2 Ultra because I know Creative to be a good company. They have yet to make a GF3 and I need to have my system built by the end of the week.
I never even put a thought into someone else building their reference cards! I know the only real difference between the cards was DVI support, but otherwise identical.
I would definetely agree, good enough for nV, good enough for me!
The VisionTek GF3 cards are excellent, only issue to date is some reports of the cooling fan being loud at time.
I've found a quick solution for this.. add a Black Label Delta Fan (AKA..FOP38 Fan, AKA..Finger Remover) to your system. You will never even notice the GF3 Fan
Yeah, I love my VT GF3! It's a great card, overclocks well, and I second the notion that not paying for bells and whistles I don't use is a good thing!
Personally, I think their products are pretty good in terms of price/performance. That's if you need all the accessories stuff. Not very high reseller value.
