What are ALU and FPU, and some other memory questions

When iset my memory timing to ultra it only increased my FPU, my ALU actually dropped a point, so i was wondering how they are figured. Also what should i set all the memory things to in the BIOS of my ECSK7S5A. Like I said I am set to ultra now, I will try 2T for the CAS, it's the next one, RAS maybe?, that i don't know what the best setting for it is.

FPU is Floating Point Unit - and in your usage means floating-point code
ALU is Arithmetic Logic Unit - and in your usage means integer code

I presume that these are SiSMark Sandra scores take from their CPU test. Are they repeatable like this? What the absolute numbers, and what are the differences as a percentage of those numbers? I find it hard to picture a situation in which increasing memory performance results in lower scores.

These are Sandra scores, but taken from the memory bench not the CPU bench. My scores seem reproducable at ALU325 FPU407, then ALU325 FPU410, but the first time i ran the test after switching the timeing to ultra the scores were ALU365 FPU 456, so they have gone down. But that test was ran right after a reboot would that make a differance.

Pumped the cas up to 2 and got ALU370, FPU470
Put all the memory settings to thier max(which i am surprised is actually working since I have a stick of Micron PC100 that is now running 133Mhz at the best timings) got these scores ALU371, FPU473.
Then I thought to myself,"how much does memory depend on the CPU speed, so I pumped my duron 650 up to 133MhzFSB so it's effectively running 866Mhz ALU527, FPU581, dang!!!
