Windows 7 used to have a load or programs on the Windows website that have infuriatingly all disappeared meaning creating a proper windows 7 VM or retro PC will be harder than it needs to be.
Windows 10 is still current so I'm looking for the good programs off the microsoft website or any other places before they disappear like the windows 7 ones did.

I've been keeping installers for programs for about twenty years. For example I'm pretty sure I still have saved somewhere a load of Windows 2000 post-SP4 patches along with a script that automates their installation. I don't trust corporations to keep stuff I consider to be potentially important forever.

If you want something done right, do it yourself :D

Was there something in particular you were looking for re Win7?

Well, in 2005, a failed backup, where upon this poster also erased the backup drive, got rid of some of my really old stuff :)
