What approx. performance % increase will I see after upgrading.....

Just want to know the approximate overall performance % I will see after this upgrade .

Current Sys.
Intel 2.66/533
512mb DDR2700


Upgrade
Intel 3.2/800
512mb DDR3200


10% increase ? 20% ?.............More ?

Define 'overall performance'. How fast you crunch SETI work units scales basically linearly with clock speed, while video compression relies more on memory bandwidth, and gaming may be totally throttled by your video card...

Don't laugh ......... Current card is a PNY 5600Ultra. I did get the good version of the card anyway -- 400/400 .
1 mth later 10diff. variations of videocards come out **LOL**

EDIT : ---- Ram = Dual Channel Mushkin 2x256mb 2700 Cas2 HP lvl2
Upgrade will be = Mushkin 2x256MB 3200 222 Special

I would say probably 20% -25% with seti not to much with gaming though 5-10% maybe depending on the game's use of the CPU.

Well, his clockspeed is only 20% higher, so I doubt he'll see MORE improvement than that with SETI. Gaming probably 5-10%, although many newer games will be bound by the video card unless you drop the resolution to 1024x768 or lower.
