I took my bike into a local shop, Calabazas Cyclery, for a few repairs I can't do myself (new stem, cranks, etc.) that require a cup press. The owner told me he was booking for Wednesday pick ups (this was on a Sunday) and that it should be ready by then. I call today and find out the shop is going to be closed until Saturday because they went to Interbike in Vegas, they left this info on their message machine.
I have no problem with this, but they should have told me that my primary mode of work transport would not be ready until SATURDAY.
Do I have a right to be upset and ask for a discount on labor for this? I don't want to seem rude, but they aren't even there right now and my bike will def. be locked down until Saturday.
