What an odd feeling...

I just found out that my biggest childhood crush got married today. I spent probably 5 years living on the same street as her, before her mom went nuts (lterally) we used to hang out during the summer. Me, her, my sister & brother, & her brother. She's not much older than me, I'm pretty sure she's 19. But she got married three hours ago.

What a strange feeling. That makes two of my childhood friends that have gotten married now. Granted, they married young, but still...

Actually, I would put her odds much higher than that. And I don't want a "crack" at her. I hope she stays married & happy.

Probably the first. The other person was a guy I barely knew. His marriage probably won't last, he got some 28 year old divorcee pregnant & then married her. He's 19 as well. I think his situation is sad, but the settling down part doesn't seem at all abnormal to me. Hell, I want to do the same thing (under better circumstances, obviously). I think the thing that's strange is that it's someone that I thought I was in love with... Of course it was completely one sided, but damn it was fun.

Actually, I had the same thing happen to me a week or two ago. This one girl in high school that I totally had to hots for, is getting married. It's a difficult feeling to describe, thats for sure, especially when you read about it in the newspaper.

I don't have any pictures that I know of (unless my sister has a wedding announcement, she's the one that told me about it). I haven't seen her at all in probably 18 months, I haven't talked to her in probably 5 years.

I seriously doubt she does. And even if she does, I highly doubt she'll be reading them for at least a week. Something tells me they have better things to do.

Fun?? You must be a glutton for punishment. The last time I was in love with someone who didn't love me, was pure hell. To top it off, she was someone I worked with. We dated off and on for about 6 months, but I was too much of a chicken%@#! to take it too the next level. When I finally made up my mind that I wanted her, it was too late, she started dating someone else. It killed me to see how happy she was without me, so much that I was going to quit my job. They ended up getting married.

I was 14 when I moved away from her, so I was hardly in a position to make anything of it. The whole puppy love thing was fun, though.

I remember when one of my close friends got married. It didn't really sink in until we where all together helping another friend move, and he said let me call my wife first. I was like huh? And this is after he has been married for a year. Now all my frieds are married or getting married.
