I've bought like 3 Epox 8KHA+'s for system's I've built. They run great...but that was before I found out about all the problems they've been having with the new GeForce4's. Hopefully they'll fix this problem soon because otherwise it's a great motherboard.

Just built 6 with the Soyo Dragon+. With the latest BIOS and sound drivers off the net, solid, fast, and stable. Great sound and convenient with the NIC built-in. Seems to like both 98SE and XP.

Gonna give a Shuttle AK35GTR a home in place of an aging A7V133... :)

Abit KR7A - RAID
Great board....just had issues with the High Point RAID controller corrupting Windows XP's Hive. Solutions are elsewhere on the forums. Other than that, its been great. :)

In the past 4 months I've put together 2 XP1600+ boxes with the ECS K7S5A and 1 1.2 Duron with the same board. All have worked great.

The Epox was my first choice but was out of stock. Ended up with the MSI below and it is rock solid. No regrets at all.

Abit KR7A-133 and like it so far, no issues whatsoever. Seems a little less stable than the Abit KT7A, which usually crashed once 7-10 days with WinMe. I didn't format when i did the swap, so there could be another issue. Do you think i should remove everything from the system devices and reload all the drivers for them?

Also i haven't had a chance to really test the boards overclocking ability cuz i think my PC2100 Mushkin is holding me back. Its fairly stable at 148mhz bus. Seems to lock up when loading a game or webpage every couple days though. I suspect my WinMe install has become buggy though.

I am using the EPOX 8KHA+. It is a great board for overclocking. I am using it with an
XP 1700+ which works out really great. The thing the I enjoyed most about the Epox was that
the BIOS is so easily multiplied.
You could also try out the Abit KR-7 RAID, but it about $60 more and the only difference is the
onboard RAID controller and it has one extra SIMM connector (for a total of 4). The Epox has decent
onboard audio quality.
For the price, the Epox gets my vote. I bought mine at NewEgg for $91.00. The Abit runs at about
$150 to $160.

GOOD LUCK!

Let me add the ECS K7S5A to the list. A guy at work just built an XP 1800 with one and said it was his easiest build yet. Low cost, great performance and very solid.
