I just wanted to get an idea of what AMD CPU/s the fellow Anandtechers are using. I've created a poll so you may list the ones you are using. If none are on the list, the please list your AMD only CPU.

Note:If you are using an Intel, please use the other thread I created called "What INTEL CPU do you currently use? Post here!"

I'm using an AMD Athlon 64 X2 QL 65 on my Acer5536-5563 series laptop.
Also using my very first AMD Athlon XP Barton 2500+ on my old Desktop.
Thanks!

I don't see why you needed to create two

I just wanted a seperate AMD only poll as the other one is for Intel only, (although I can't seem to edit the topic and add the Intel to it). If it's a problem let me know and the mods can delete this thread.

Just built a machine on the Athlon II 630, though I wouldn't exactly say I "use" it yet. It's still under configuration.

On the AMD side, I have a Phenom 9350e, an Athlon X2 4850e, and a laptop Sempron 2800+.

Oh, where do I list my Via Nano CPU?

I have the Athlon II X3 725 and loving it. It is a real improvement over my Intel C2D 7200.

X2 6000+ here. I'm looking to upgrade it to a Phenom II 9xx but I'm still researching what will work with my old M2N-SLI Deluxe mobo.

Socket 939 X2 4400

It's been good to me. Mentioned upgrade to pregnant wife. Laughter ensued. Looks like I am stuck with this puppy for some time.

hehe. My X2 3800 does a decent job with most of what I demand from it. A few games I've played, like Saints Row 2, definitely needs more Processor power though.

I am able to play Mass Effect 2 without any issues so I am happy. Little worried for Bioshock 2. Depends on the number of updates made to the engine from the first game. Have to wait and see. Not doing any video yet, but will be in the future. When that happens I will demand the upgrade......it might actually work!

B2 should work as well as Original. No significant changes in Engine AFAIK.

Phenom II 965 in my gaming rig. Phenom II 905e in my HTPC. The 905e blows the doors off of the AII 605e that I had previously, and at the same power level.

I just noticed that I also have one of my first custom built systems still running on an AMD AthlonXP 2500+ Barton. I miss those AMD days, now it's mostly Intel...hopefully a change is in order soon.

Damn right. First custom build was a nicely overclocked Athlon XP 2400+ Mobile (unlocked of course). God was I proud of my first AMD build :)

Matter of fact, out of nostalgic reasons, I found myself browsing eBay for an Athlon XP Mobile and An Abit motherboard to build a system for kicks and giggles just for how much I miss my first build which I sold long ago when I moved on to the 939 platform back then

<--- Misses his Barton ;(

now it's mostly Intel...hopefully a change is in order soon.

Well, AMD's current pricing is hard to resist. I am building a Phenom II X4 965 BE for work this week and after I try it out, I am considering building myself one too. a $100 in between that and the i920 for little performance gain is not a defeat in my opinion.
