What am I?

These have got the most frustrating words ever put on a package:

"TO OPEN PUSH HERE"

They really should read:

"To open, try one time with your thumb until the cardboard crushes in on itself and makes the whole damn affair impossible. If that doesn't work, attempt tearing the top of the box open, only we applied so much fucking glue that the flap won't tear free from the flap underneath. Finally, in a final fit of frustration, use a knife to cut open the box."

So, the question is, what am I?

Macaroni?

Damn straight! You too have suffered the frustration. It doesn't even matter if you buy the good shit (Velveeta Shells and Cheese) or the bargain basement stuff, you're in for a new level of packaging frustration. It's second only to clam shell packaging in my opinion.

You got to be smarter than the box.

Smart goes out the window when the pressure of a two year old and a three year old are hungry, you're working full time, taking six credit hours at school, and going out of town for a business trip for 5 days and still haven't packed.

The last thing that should stand in the way is a damn cardboard box...

You have issues opening macaroni boxes? lol

Yeah, you must be the "Macaroni and Cheese Magician" or something if you can actually get one of those boxes open as constructed.

I myself think that there's a packaging engineer laughing his ass off that he got paid to create such an abomination.

Maybe, but I've really never had problems opening boxes of food stuffs.
Other things yes, nothing like them intentionally polishing lids of stuff so you can't grip then properly.

Your difficulty with opening packages is exactly why you have kids.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HFmPtN8sKsA

Not true. I had my first kid at age 30 when my income surpassed $60k per year.

Also, I find the converse is true. Once you already have kids, packages get harder to open because there's more of them and the kids want what's in there faster than is humanly possible sometimes.

PS - I got my package cut so I can't have any more kids for this very reason.

Pancake mix boxes work much the same. I've given up and have started just going straight for the knife. Too many bent thumbnails, mangled boxes and powder all over the counter.

CPU packaging. (OMG I hate opening those).

? I don't handle CPU packaging on a regular basis but the last 2 times I built my own computer I can't remember anything really special about it. What I hate is Blister Packaging!!

Yup. The Kraft Mac & Cheese gave me this issue earlier. Down to the smallest detail.

Shit is impossible unless you have nails or bitch fingers.

Yep that's the ones I"m talking about too. CPUs are similar, but maybe they changed, it's been a while, I just remember them being a huge pain because the package is hard to open but at same time you want to be careful and not just shove random sharp objects in there.

Then there's kids toys, that's a whole other story. Are chinese packaging people scared the toys come alive like in Toy Story, so they have to tie them up a million times with metal wire? LOL

Yeah, I hate the blister packaging too. What's even worse is if the product is broken, then I can't return it for a refund because it's not in a resaleable condition...wtf...
