What am i to do with my life

I'll keep it short and spare you my life story. What am i supposed to do when my life isn't currently going anywhere, there's nothing i'm interested in doing with my life (not just career wise but in general), and i hate my life right now? - It seems like everyone else has motivation to do something, I don't have any motivation, and there's really nothing i'm interested in doing. Though i certainly don't like what i'm currently doing.

I made a similar thread not too long ago, but this is semi-different.

I was in a big funk yesterday when i made this thread, but, it all still rings true unfortunately. It really seems like there's nothing i can do.

I have no interest in going back to school. It's a possibility for me, but I wouldn't even consider it personally.

I have no job, because i'm not interested in doing anything for a career or part time job. I don't want to have to be somewhere that would make me unhappy so often. Hope people don't start on the "get a job like the rest of us you damn bum!" routine.

20...come to think of it, I'm almost 21, Gambling is something i'm interested in , then again, I'm almost always broke, so it'd be kinda hard to gamble with no money.

So i don't know what i'm going to do, i certainly don't like my current life. Posting here probably won't help, but who knows. Does everyone go through a phase where it seems like there is nothing they want to do at all? I've been in this 'phase' for a long time. I still don't want to start telling my life story, by the way. I'm more looking for advice then to provide the backstory.

If you are, then you might as well try to rob a bank or a jewelry shop since there is no other way. You don't like our life, so what do you have to lose?

Definitely rob a bank. If you don't get caught, you're rich and can do nothing all day (sounds like that's what you want to do), and you'll have money to gamble with. On the other hand, if you are caught, you will have someone telling you what to do so you won't have to worry about it. Win win situation.

i posted in that one also saying i'm the same way.

there's very little going on in my life that excites me or makes me motivated for anything.

wait, are you the same guy who made the thread about wanting to be rich by the time you were 20 or 30 but didn't want to work or do anything?

i will sympathize with you with having a hard time to decide what you want to do but thats about it. i'm willing to work to get what i want and not just have it handed to me.

I would recommend taking on an easy part time job, or just some simple volunteer work that you think might be FUN. Don't think of its relation to a career just yet, or how much money you are (if any) you are getting though. Just go out there and experiment and have fun doing so. Someting will hopefully catch on spark an interest.

do like to help people? (join the peace corps)
do like to make money (start a business)
do you like to kill hookers by the docks? (kill hookers by the docks)


do what you enjoy and everything else will fall into place.

As for the OP what about military duty? Someone suggested that Coast Guard and that or another service might not be a bad idea to turn you into a man with focus.
