I don't get it. I have three comps, two with the BFG 7800GTX cards in them, and one with a EVGA 7800GT card. I'm currently using the step-up program on the 7800GT to go to the 7900GTX. While I was doing the step-up stuff this morning, it hit me that the 7900GTX card from EVGA is only $20.00 more than the BFG 7800GTX is selling for. Is the performance increase that minimal between the two..? I don't understand the pricing.

Older and more expensive...its like when the 7800GTX came out and the 512MB Ultra's were more expensive.

By the same token. I have seen 6600GT sold at Fry's (B&M) for as much as $249.00. Many people are not aware of the ever evolving technologies and pricing fluctuation so they end up buying these products at these outrageous prices. It always pays to do your homework before taking out your chceck book.

Also the fact that they are discontinuing the 7800 GPU may be another reason for its price.
