what Allocation unit size when formating spare IDE drive 512--4096???

I have the pleasure of having a spare IDE drive for storage and music . I am going to format it within Win XP i have another drive that is bootable with the OS on it. What allocation size should i use it starts at 512 bytes and goes up to 4096 bytes (that is selected when you open the payne) ?? any help appreciated.

Unless you know the file sizes you'll be storing it won't really make a difference. If you know that all files will be under 1K or 4K you might save some space but if you're storing movies or MP3's just use the default setting.
