I personally haven't found anything I'm allergic to yet. Just wondering what is most common here and what happens because of the allergy.

When I was a kid I was alergic to many foods. Corn, wheat, milk...milk was the worst it gave me a headache. But I grew out of it I guess because nothing food related affects me anymore.

But I am alergic to penicillin and erythromycin. Two of the main antibiotics.

Anyone can have an opinion on a subject even if they know nothing about it.

It just doesn't make it right. (or wrong either for that matter)

It just makes it their opinion! ;)

At least thats MY opinion!

I think I'm a bit weird in that category. So far, I've been alergic to things only once. For example. I ate a fig newton once and got hives. I stopped eating them and one day, I couldn't resist, I ate one. No problems since that time. This has happened with other things, once it was laundry detergent, ..you get the idea.

Cats (the one allergy I run in to most often), apples, the spice used in some BBQ chips, dust (only slightly) and that stuff trees use to breed (I forgot the english word for it :() but only on one tree (forgot which). I could have few others too, but those are all I can think of right now.

<< You mean pollen, on the male version. >>

yep, that's it. thanks :).

I was actually surpised when I was diagnosed with that one particular allergy. The doctors told me that according to the test, my allergly is pretty severe. "you must sneeze alot in the worst times". I was like "huh? no, I don't sneeze". But after I found out about it, I paid more attention to it, and I do sneeze quite alot during summers with all those pollen grains flying around.

A little footnote on allergies.

If you CRAVE something, and can't go more than a few days without it. Chances are good your allergic to it.

Your body isn't craving the thing your allergic TO, it craving the endorphins your body produces to fight the allergy.

Or so I was told in a class I took once.

(This of course pertains mostly to food allergys...SEX does NOT count!!)

<< But I am alergic to penicillin and erythromycin >>

That's got to suck since they use erythromycin for people who are allergic to penicillin.

I am allergic to shellfish and penicillin.
