What all forms for a business need to be filled out?

I have a little home business starting now, my dad registered a company name quite some time back, but I want to know what all forms do I need to fill out. I have no clue where to start other than that we have the company name.

Do I need to do any paperwork for taxes even though right now there isn't any revenue?

Well, in Michigan I had to go the city building in downtown Detroit for a DBA. It is literally in the same room where you get marriage licenses from. I guess you would have to go to the county seat (town) and register there.
As far as taxes, you can get a EIN from the IRS. You can get one instantly from them too, which is nice. With this, you won't have to use your social security number for documents and it makes the transition later to a LLC or a corporation easier.
