Until people in the south start stoning adulterers, I think they have a leg up on Islam ;)

interesting... I knew redstone arsenal was in Alabama but I did not realize they were actively making nukes to wipe Israel off the map.

The problem with this survey is that it strictly limits religion to the old-fashioned system of beliefs. It completely ignores newer systems such as the religions of Monarchies. They have bizarre systems of beliefs, a God (the Queen/King), etc. just like religions. People just like to call it tradition rather than religion but it's really the same thing.

That's a strange table-it has Israel near the bottom at 50% (to the question "Is religion an important part of your daily life?). That's a country that was formed solely for religious reasons a half century ago, just after the Holocaust.

Not very surprising, but neat overall.

The Democratic Party has majority over the Alabama legislature and you compare the state to Iran?

That you cannot appreciate the difference between terrorists and non terrorists means that you have betrayed the lesson of September 11th and that you have to be removed from any position of influence over how we defend this nation from our enemies.

Is that the lesson where we find out that interfering with other countries for decades will eventually cause us problems?

If that's truly how it works it's a lesson that Iran should find out for themselves soon enough. It's not as if they take a hand's off approach to other countries themselves.

And when they interfere with us? Your statement reflects that this would only be a one way street.

As for the lesson, that one religion?s extremists in particular are a clear and present danger.

:sniff: My state got its own troll thread. I'm so proud! :sniff:

I can believe it to be honest. Religion is important. However, I wouldn't necessarily equate the religious population down here with the evangelical types that somehow become national 'newsmakers'. Besides, the author is comparing apples with well.....Orangina I guess. It doesn't quite work well when you try to draw any policy conclusions.

Really, what is more interesting is when you compare America to a whole to Iran. Compared to other countries in the ME, we actually have the most in common with Iran. If it weren't for the clerics in charge, our two countries would look very similar in the way it operates and acts.

Israel though? Kinda surprised there.
