I have no moral objection to marijuana itself, but to be smoking it while driving is stupid, dangerous, inexcusable, and all kinds of other nasty words that heap derision on this stupid fvck.

Gore, a Harvard University student, has had previous brushes with the law. He was ticketed for reckless driving by North Carolina police in August 2000 when he was clocked going 94 mph. Military police arrested him for drunk driving near a military base in Virginia in September 2002.

That's the point system. A ticket in 2000 and a DUI in 2002 means that according to the legal system his reckless driving is now off the records, so all he has is 1 DUI. Nowhere near enough to be taking his drivers license. Points are off your record after 3 years in the legal system.

Thats not to mention the amount of $$$ this kid has access to. With the right pockets lined and a few ph calls I'm sure it could be expunged from his record very quick like.

What is truly unfortunate is that this Al Gore 3 will no doubt end up being a politician and I doubt he will do anything to legalize pot.

I don't think that reasoning is sound in any way. If pot was legalized and yeah like stoners will ever get around to petitioning for that... the conservatives would be happy to collect the taxes for another legal product. But since stoners don't care it will forever remain illegal.

If you want to be a stoner and live within the law Amsterdam is waiting for you.

And call me a butthead but the Bush sisters got into trouble over under-age drinking of alcohol... and Al Gore III got busted with an illegal substance. Big damn difference. I'd like to see some liberals rush to explain why an illegal drug by an adult is better that a couple of underage chicks trying to get drunk...
