I'm looking to upgrade my computer (sometime during this weekend with all the deals.) I want to keep using my AGP 6800, PNY 2x512MB PC2700 (trying to), and i want to overclock.

I'm currently looking at the EPoX EP-9NDA3+.

Anyone know any other good motherboards that would allow me to keep the parts I want and is overclock friendly?

Please feel free to tell me any problems I might run into and I'm open for suggestions!
Thanks!

Epox 9nda3+ (or save $25 and get the 9nda3j if you don't need onboard firewire; you can't use the two extra SATA channels if you are OC'ing anyway, and those are the only two differences). I am VERY happy with this mobo, although I don't have a Venice I don't think there is any issue with them vs. a Winchester.

Epox forum at AOA <--- a great resource if you own an Epox board, also read about other peoples experiences and avoid any potential obstacles you may face

I'd avoid the MSI boards, some people have absolutely no problems and sing praises to the heavens about MSI, others have had their boards literally explode on them or have gone through multiple painful RMA's due to defective boards. This is just based on what I've read, so take a look around, don't just take my word for it.

The AV8 and A8V both seem to be solid as well.

alrite dude.... no matter how bad it is ... it isn't gonna literally explode into ur face....

i do admit the K8N Neo2 plat needs more tweaking than others... and a couple issues with ram...

i do recomend DFI ..

get Asus if u don't plan to OC... hence the well said 'solid'....

I am looking at this very thing. Look at the Gigabyte k8NSC or something like that. That seems to have the best performance and overclockability.

Most of the 939 boards seem to get stuck around the 275 mark so make you decision appropriately. Of course the DFI doesn't fit into the above category...must use some different components than everyone else. I have numerous issues with EPOX as of late and I used to use them exclusively for a long time. I have read many flakey reports over on the amdmb forums.

the gigabyte is 80 shipped at Chiefvalue right now.
