 I'm a proud owner of a ASUS P4B266 motherboard. It has an AGP 4x 1.5v slot and I would like to put in a 64mb card. But with the lack of knowlage on all this new stuff and so many to choose from I dont know what is rite or wrong. Some say thay have sdram and others say ddr sdram, some have fans and others dont, some are hundreds and others are just twenty bucks. I have an idea of what I want and just need to be lead into the rite direction and what to look for. I'm nothing big and just need the basic card to do work with and a few of the newer games. I would like to try and keep the price under $200 us.
Not to get off the subject but also can you let me know if i would be able to use one of my older video cards from 1997? It's in this gateway2000 P-75.
Thank You, Kevin C.

For your price Range i believe you have 2 good options

PNY GEFORCE3 64MB DDR WITH TV OUT/ DVI VIDEO CARD- OEM for around $190 shipped

ATI Radeon 8500 64MB DDR AGP RETAIL $175 shipped

You can do searches on the web and stuff for reviews. Personally I believe the Radeon 8500 has much more of a future. But ATI needs to make even better drivers.
