What advantages if any does Windows 2000 SP4 have over WinXP SP2?

w2ksp4 probably takes less disk space and the default configuration probably needs less ram, but i would probably go with xp sp2

Depends if you're comparing Win2000 Pro against WinXP Home Edition, or against WinXP Professional Edition.
