What adapter do I need to connect my phone(2.5mm) to my aux in(3.5mm) in my car?

Now, before you say, just a 2.5 to 3.5 adapter, many of the reviews on Amazon say the cheap $1.50 ones are not for cell phones. Something about needing 3 rings on the adapter, and these only have 2.

I do not need to use a hands free thing. All i want to do is play Mp3's off my phone into my aux-in. So can I use one of those cheap ones or do I really need something else?

This is the one I planned to get:

Will that work? Like I said I don't need it for answering, just to pass Mp3s through to my headunit.

Unless I'm mistaken the 3 ring connections are to include a mic which you would not need. You should just need a standard 2.5 to 3.5 unless there's something weird about the way the phone jack works.

Hit a radio shack or microcenter and buy one and try it in the parking lot.

Pretty sure a cheap-o will do the trick. Like MustISO said, the 3rd ring is for a mic and since you are just wanting to play mp3's over the stereo, you should be all set.
