what about top and side vents??

I have a case that supports 4 80 mm fans (front, rear, top, side). I know that the front is the intake, rear is exhaust, but what about top and side????

usually, the side is for intake to cool the CPU

i like to use the top for exhaust as well since hot air rises

its more or less stuck this way cuz of psu and cpu being near top rear

0roo0roo's got it. I actually did something similar for my overclocked tbird. 2 80mm L1as over video card and cpu, L1a psu fan for exhaust. Even in a desk that encloses the case on 5 sides (back is open) it remains a tepid 45C at idle and 52C under load w/another L1a on the SK7 attached to the cpu.

Regarding the side fans, sometimes they actually will disturb the air flow through the case. You have to try it out and see what the temps are like, or do a smoke test to see the air flow.

Some cases actually have a duct for the side fan (I forgot the company). I think that's a cool idea.
