I'm still looking to get a new LCD that can support 1600x1200, but I'm low on cash. Until then, I could get a freebie in the mean time, but I need to know if it's even worth getting. Here are the specs:

17" LCD
Max Resolution - 1280x1024 pixels @ 75 Hz
400:1 typical contrast, 0.264 pixel pitch
Response Time: 25 Milliseconds

Thanks for any help.

That's not bad really. It's obviously an older model being that the response time is 25ms. You would notice some ghosting with fast paced games. I have a friend that games with a 25ms LCD, and he doesn't complain about it though.

Can't beat the price. If you don't want it, I'll gladly take it off your hands... ;)

You will see ghosting due to low response rate in fast paced ames but unless you're anal about things, it's fine. Especially as an in betweener. Another thing is that even when you get your new LCD, you can still keep the 17" LCD and go dual monitor.

All good points. Thanks guys. Until I can get my new monitor, you all convinced me this freebie is well worth it....

Definitely nice for a free monitor. Hell, my mom could use an upgrade like that, she's still on a 15" CRT...:p
