I am looking to buy a new laptop in the next few months. I dont want to spend too much (max would be around 700-ish $).
I want a 15" screen 1080p with the best possible hardware inside it for light gaming and some photo editing. So far I found this one on Newegg for 680$

  • Acer 15.6" Intel Core i5 7200U (2.50 GHz) NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950M 8 GB DDR4 Memory 256 GB SSD 1 TB HDD
Do you think is it worth waiting for Black Friday/Cybermonday or for new laptops early next year or go for it now?
Any other alternatives you know?

Thanks

I don't know... I was thinking the same thing for my wife. This laptop looks perfect for her, A budget laptop... Not bad for 372 bucks with 8GB ram. Shipped from Amazon

Acer Aspire E 15, 15.6" Full HD, 7th Gen Intel Core i3-7100U, 4GB DDR4, 1TB HDD, Windows 10 Home, E5-575-33BM, Backlit LED keyboard, 802.11ac, 12 hour battery life (tho tests run at 8-10 hours).

Plus of course, I am going to upgrade the ram for 20 bucks add in another 4 gigs of Ballistix Sport LT 4GB Single DDR4 2400 MT/s (PC4-19200) SODIMM 260-Pin Memory - BLS4G4S240FSD gotta have at least 8GB these days. May slap in an SSD later.

I highly doubt that Acer is going to cut much of a price discount at black friday, but one never knows. I'm kinda amazed that I can get one this cheap since, I bought a E5-571-563B Acer (looks the same) with an I5 4210U and 6GB DDR3 memory for almost 450 onsale. This one is faster, and with backlit keyboards and long battery life, I don't see how they can make it much cheaper.

If you haven't purchased it yet then I would recommend you to wait for black friday because there will be lot of good deals on amazon, best buy, walmart and newegg.

As far as this laptop is concerned, this is really the best specs you are getting for the price. If you don't find any good deals for you on black friday then definitely go with this laptop.
