Do you think the Kodak camera is better than this Samsung?
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/t...5/sr=8-1/ref=aps_sr_p_1_1/102-8685555-7936105

With the rebate form, students can get $100 off, leaving the price for this Samsung SCD-80 at around $100 bucks...... Anyone have any experience with this camera? Thanks!

About the same either way. The Kodak has higher resolution 1152x864 and a Compact Flash slot but no CF card in the box. The Samsung has lower res but a 4mb internal memory with a Smart Media card in the box. You get what you pay for with either camera, and if all you want to do is take snapshots of your friends or photos of stuff to sell on E-Gay, either one would do. Everyone seems to expect wonders from a 100.00 camera, and I think some people are going to be disappointed when they start to use either.

I just purchased the Samsung camera, from the example pictures that I found on a link from www.all-digital-links.com the picture quality of the samsung was better, and if you're a college kid, on top of the $100 samsung rebate, there is a $25 rebate (this was explained in another thread), bringing the total to:

$179.95 (from edu.com)
-$100
-$25
+6.95 shipping
-------
$61.90 Total!

$45 cheaper than the Kodak and (atleast to me) better picture quality
