I'm seeing very little mention about this board other then some mid May posts I guess when it first came out.

Local shop is talking it up. Is it any good? I like all the features and I don't plan on overclocking. I've gone with AMD in the past but leaning toward Intel again. (That was hard to even type  )

i think the gb 8iexp (i845e) is a good lookin' board, but it's taken a back seat to the Epox 4G4A+ (i845g) board, which we're having great feature sets and overclocking potentials with.

however we all notice that the i845g boards give better support for memory (DDR333 support) than any of the i845e boards; so with that, and the great feature set that the 4G4A+ has, we've kind of been drawn to the epox.

gigabyte is falling behind, unless they can get their full-version, 8IGXP, board out soon. That would be sweet competition ot the 4G4A+, but gigabyte may not release the full-featured GXP board in the US, as talk has been.

Check out the 4G4A+...I've been ecstatic about the performance and features of mine. They have a big thread or two here in the 'Motherboards' anandtech forum. Oh, and plus odds are the 4G4A+ is cheaper than the 8IGXP would be.

My 8IEXP isn't bad, but it doesn't like high RAM speeds. It will run DDR266 great, DDR333 with RAM at 2.6V, and pukes at DDR354. :| My original Samsung PC2700 should be able to handle the DDR354 just fine.
