What about the following as an upgrade

Ok, my mobo/cpu took a crap on me on my only (now once) functional machine at home.
I have a 1.333g athlon (pre xp) on an ECS board.
The computer keeps trying to reboot itself, and crashes just before the OS loads (winXP pro). I looked at my cpu temp, and it was 80C! After I let everything cool off overnight, same problem (cpu temp at 40C).

So, I figure if I get a new mobo/cpu combo I should be fine. If not, it is a corrupted OS, and I need to buy a new HD and reinstall XP pro.

How is the following as an upgrade (all from newegg):
Biostar K8NHA Grand mobo with NForce3 chipset - $70.00
Athlon 64 2800+ $122.00

I need to keep the total at $200 or below in case it is the HD and I need to replace that as well. Any other suggestions or is this one good?

I second the mobo suggestion, the chaintech is really a good baord. This 2800+ has AX in it's model number. If I'm not mistaken, that means it's a CG revision, which is a better overclocker and has a slightly better memory controller. I'd get it, considering it's cheaper
