What about installing latest Dx from MS on Win2K

I had to reinstall recently so my Win2K system is at standard Dx7 level and I am wondering if that is the source of the lackluster performance of my system measured by 3Dmark2000 (IknowIknow.. it's not a very good bench but it does serve to compare a system to itself to see if you are any where close to where you were before)
Before reinstalling I was getting about a 6700 score and now it's just about 5000.
I have det 6.49 driver and the coolbits and the nvtweak - here are the machine specs:

GF2 GTS 64meg
P3 @ 933mhz
256 megs PC133 mosel
on Win2K server with
Detonator 6.49 driver

I changed the memory timing from 5t/7t to 7t/9t and installed DX8 final.
My 3Dmark2000 score went from 4997 to 6651 😎😀😀😎
Changing the timing was related to a stability issue. DX8 final seems to have done the trick under Win2K server. About the same score using both Det 6.49 and 6.67 BTW.

Hi Wiz,

Where do u go about to change the 5t/7t timings? Is this available from the Detonator drivers? Sorry, I have to ask since I am using Asus Drivers.

This is in my Asus CUSL2-C bios under chip settings. Right after setting it to 2-2-2 there's a setting for timing that's either 5t/7t or 7t/9t. I have always had it at the lower setting but was trying different things to work out a stability issue and that seems to have done it.
