What about Fujitsu Laptops

I saw a Fujitsu c6981 (I think) at best buy that is loaded with features for 1500.00. Are these laptops good? Or should I stick with Dell or Sony. Thanks,

They have never really broken into the consumer market with any force

With luck the will stay in it, but getting support/repairs may be hard

Worst case fujitsu decides it's too hard to compete in the BB\Compusa\circuit city sector and pulls out

Worst case+ they do a Hitachi and stop making laptops at all
 
If nothing else, parts & service would be in shorter supply than for Dell, Compaq, Sony... etc.

Fujitsu has a strong presence in Japan, but they are rarely seen here in the states. At least in the consumer market.
