what do people think of Aero blowers? like this one?


they look interesting... kinda cool it seems to me... not sure, though. looks a lot like an electric driven turbocharger on a friend's car 😛
 
10.9 CFM at 22db while using 3.6W? I thought these things were supposed to be more powerful and relatively quiet? Those specs seem rather pathetic compared to most any 80mm fan.
 
First time I saw one of those on a heat sink i thought it was a joke and lol'd. haha Still look goofy to me on top of a heatsink. =P But..it'd be different, no doubt.
 
I heard it's better than a 20cfm axial fan because not only does it eleminate the dead spot but also has more air pressure
 
hmm that could be quite true, didn't think of it that way. kinda along the lines of the tmd fans, getting rid of the dead spot more so.. interesting. i just thought about that, why don't they make more of a .. 'funnel' for the 'normal' type fans then to help get rid of that dead spot somewhat? i know i've seen some ppl rig something up like this, but..why not from manufactures/etc? maybe it doesn't really make the big of a diff?? *shrug* hehe just poped in my head..
