a retail radeon 8500 is clocked higher than the oem one right? but then its just a matter of overclocking the oem to the already safe retail levels right? or is the oem of shady quality?

what about with a tv tuner card (ati tv wonder) what will the difference between retail and oem be?

so theyre the same thing but underclocked...doesnt answer my doubt about the quality tho... whats stopping me from overclocking my 8500 oem to retail levels and get the same performance at a cheaper cost... ?

apparently the retail 8500 has faster ram... i like 🙂
 
Actually the URL I provided above also talks about the pencil trick, as well as additional bioses that might be needed in order to o/c it successfully. YMMV.
