What A64 best for overclocking?

Wondering if any certain version of A64 overclocks better than the others. For example, does cache size affect overclocking or to the lower speed 64s get a higher % overclock?

The less cache the greater chance it will not hold you back, for the most part.

BUT, with that said, right now MOST overclockig limits are the Chipsets. Until VIA and Nivida come out with their new chipsets you are more limited by the board as of now.

I don't think they're completed limited by the chipset...

yeah, the nforce3 150 doesn't have a pci lock but that doesn't effect overclocking...

over at xtreme people are running 3200+'s and 3400+'s at and above 2700 mhz... yes it's on phase change but it's definitely not a chipset issue..

i can run my A64 3200+ at 289 fsb with no issues on my board... i even use a tv tuner card way out of spec...

the only thing that won't run are SATA drives so you'll need a SATA card for that...

other than that...

the 3400+ is obviously the best overclocker due to it's already high clockspeed...

i've had a 3000+ and it clocked the same as my 3200+ (2.6 ghz)...

what mobo/cooling/powersupply were you using to get the A64 3200+ at 289. I'm very new to overclocking and am stuck at 219 right now. Of course, I don't have the top overclocking components, but still. (See machine in my sig)
